Starving your roof of suitable ventilation means that moisture and condensation can form causing your roof to become damp. This problem has been addressed many times over the years and building regulations have had to change to allow for continuous ventilation at eaves level. Depending on your roof type and pitch, the amount of ventilation required varies. A typical ventilation equivalent to a 1cm continuous air gap is sufficient for most modern pitched roofs.
Our Over Fascia Ventilation system is fixed to the top edge of the fascia board and is hidden from view. It is a very effective way to do away with the unsightly vents that you see on a lot of homes today. Many traditional homes have had discs or soffit ventilation grills fitted. Unfortunately this method of ventilating a roof is not as effective as our Over Fascia Ventilation system and, in most cases; soffit ventilation can look unattractive in this highly visible area of the roofline.
